April 15, 2022: Genesis Gardens and Dr Galloway’s Gardens Canceled as bushes were not in bloom
We will visit two beautiful azalea gardens, Bill Pinkerton’s Genesis Gardens and the gorgeous home and gardens of Dr. Galloway. Our tour will begin at 11am with a tour of Dr. Galloways home, followed with a tour of Genesis Gardens. We will then enjoy a group lunch at a local venue. Trip Coordinator: Judy Wade
April 9, 2022: Dogwood Festival Garden Tours – CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER
We will leave at 7:30 am on Saturday for a day of Dogwood Festival Garden Tours and return at approximately 4:15pm. On arrival in Knoxville, our Dogwood Festival daytrip begins with a morning drive on the Sequoyah Hills Dogwood Trail, followed by a tour of three of the Festival’s five distinctive gardens. After lunch at a restaurant on nearby Parkside Drive, the tours continue with two additional and distinctly different spring gardens. Trip Coordinator: Linda Reiss
March 3, 2022: Nashville Yard & Garde Show
On Thursday March 3 the Fairfield Glade Garden Club will leave at 8:15 am and carpool to Nashville for the first day of the 2022 Nashville Yard and Garden Show at The Fairgrounds Nashville. The Show features all things green and growing! There will be an acre of live gardens designed by some of middle Tennessee’s top landscape and garden companies and more than 150 vendors in 250 exhibit booths with a variety of plants, seeds, home décor, gardening equipment, books, and free advice to help you succeed in your gardening adventures. In addition, there will be more than 20 of the region’s top floral designers showcasing their talents in the floral design gallery. A series of free lecture presentations will offer hints, tips, and practical advice on a variety of horticultural topics. The Show is a great way to get a jump on planning your garden in 2022.
